The Weston Irish Festival began in 2000 as a one-day event which drew an attendance of 1500 people. As the first act took the stage, on what had been a beautiful morning, the clouds rolled in and by the end of the day had dumped three inches of rain on the festival. In the true spirit of the Irish however, the audience stuck it out, the musicians did all they could by playing impromptu sets wherever there was a reasonably dry spot in between the rain showers, and everyone managed to still have a great time.

Since then the event has grown to a three-day festival and has featured many of the greatest acts in Irish Music including, The Dublin City Ramblers, The Makem/Spain Brothers, Young Dubliners, Seven Nations, The Elders, Screaming Orphans, Connie Dover, The Prodigals, The Mickey Finns, The Fenians, and Brigid’s Cross. The attendance has experienced a steady growth to about 10,000 people in 2010, which is a lively crowd but still retains the intimate feel of a small town festival.

Now celebrating our 17th year, we welcome you to join us for what promises to be another great weekend of all things Irish!

The venue for the Weston Irish Festival is the underground cellars of the Weston Brewing Company at O’Malley’s Pub, the America Bowman Restaurant, and the pub’s adjacent outdoor Courtyard and Patio. The main Courtyard Stage is surrounded by a grassy area which provides a relaxed atmosphere for blankets and lawn chairs and it’s gentle slope creates a natural amphitheater offering everyone a great view of the stage as well as great sound. A large tent in the back of the area provides shade and shelter.

The three indoor cellars provide two stages of entertainment and offer a truly intimate atmosphere which allows the artists to offer a completely different pub show as compared to the festival sets that they perform on the outdoor stage.

The Weston Brewing Company
Originally established in 1842, the current configuration of the brewery boasts a modern 25-barrel brewing system and continually churns out high quality, unique libations now available on tap and in bottles at your favorite stores and restaurants.

O’Malley’s Pub
Nationally famous Irish entertainers are a regular feature at O’Malley’s 1842 Pub. Convivial publicans, Michael Coakley and Corey Weinfurt, along with their friendly staff efficiently serve patrons in three vaulted, limestone brewery cellars. There is multi-level seating in the twenty-foot high bottom cellar, fifty-five feet below ground. Those in the middle room can play darts or enjoy sporting events on the seven-foot screen. Snugs, in the top cellar, are ideal for craic (conversation) which is the very essence of a true Irish pub. Well kept draught ales, lagers and cider are offered along with wines and specialty drinks. The complete bar boasts ten Irish whiskeys.

America Bowman Restaurant
Quality Rated by both AAA and Mobil Travel Guides, the America Bowman Restaurant offers an all-day menu featuring starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. All are homemade. House specialties include our traditional chicken salad, cheddar & ale soup, bangers & mash, beef ‘n Guinness, fish & chips, as well as our half-pound pub burger and Corned Beef sandwich. Char-grilled steaks, salmon, country ham and chicken are favorites in the evening.

In addition to the full menu offered in the America Bowman Restaurant, a selection of authentic Irish dishes, as well as traditional festival favorites will be available at the Courtyard Food tent. This year’s menu includes: Irish Stew, Dublin Coddle, and several selections offered by our first time guests, Scimeca’s

The three underground cellars of O’Malley’s Pub are each equipped with full service bars where guests are sure to find their favorite beverage. Additionally, there will be Draught Beer, Specialty Drinks, and Hot Drinks available at the Beverage Booth in the Courtyard.
